Product Usage:

 

Oxidized polyethylene waxes can be emulsified in water. Wax emulsions are applied as finishes to textiles in order to obtain a smoother surface in order to make them easier to sew and to make them more resistant to linting and pilling. Polyethylene waxes are used in polishes applied to shoes, furniture, floors and car bodywork and wax emulsions to protect the surface, to provide gloss or to enhance safety by increasing the slip resistance. Addition of wax emulsions to the coating of glossy magazines protects the surface against ink rub-off. A thin layer of wax can also be applied to the skin of citrus fruit to prevent it from drying out and becoming bruised.

 

Chemical Constitution:

 

The molecular chain of OPE wax has a certain functional group, so it gets a good compatibility with polarity resin which is better than PE wax. OPE wax, white powder, is one kind of low molecular weight oxidized polyethylene with hydroxyl and carbonyl which has good chemical stability and can melt into aromatic hydrocarbon. The excellent performance of friction, bonding and scratch resistance can be mainly used in water coatings and inks. In plastic industry, it shows good function of internal and external lubrication for PVC products. Adding OPE wax in rigid transparent, non-transparent PVC formula can get better lubricant property than other processing aids. It is widely used in PE, PVC cables, PVC profiles and pipe product as lubricant and in Textile softener, car wax, leather softener production as raw and auxiliary material.
